Art At The Lake is now over for 2009, and initial indications are that it was successful and well attended.  You can view a Gallery of photos by clicking here.  At the opening page click on any thumbnail to view that photo in an enlarged view.  You can then use the left/right arrows in the top left corner to navigate through the Gallery.  Click on the square between the arrows to return to the main gallery page, and then "return to home page" to exit the Gallery.

Gallery In The Grove present "Fire and Water" November 1st to 21st.  Works by Potters Stef Smalls, Carol Holmes-Kerr, Dewy Spizzirri, and Jane Danic. 

Diane Nelles, a SAW member, is included in a group of 9 Canadian Artists, whose art is used on Greeting cards  to raise money for various Food Banks across Canada.  100% of the proceeds go to these Charities.  Check it out.

Art Gallery of Ontario features Alexander Calder until January 10th, 2010.  "The Paris Years 1926 - 1933"  The focal point is "Calder's Circus", a miniature three-dimensional work created between 1926 and 1931. See details

Rita Viscount, Saw Treasurer and Artist, has just released a Children's book, "Mimi the Inchworm", written by Sue Beth Balash, and illustrated by Rita.  Congratulations!!  Click on Mimi the Inchworm in "Interesting Artists Sites and Videos" above to see the cover.

Bev Fish, a Wallaceburg Artist and Art Teacher, won the 'Mayor's Award' in the 6th Annual Floyd Gibson Colours Show and Sale at Lawrence House.  Her award was presented by Mayor Mike Bradley at Lawrence House during "First Friday."

McMichael Gallery, Kleinburg continue with "Child's Play" to February 14th, 2010.  It is an educational exhibition from McMichael's permanent collection, exploring  the theme of children in Canadian art.
